Quiz
Answer A - Something that takes the edge off (dampens) the appetite.
Damper is an easy-to-cook campfire classic bread. It was traditionally made by early European settlers in Australia, and then adopted into NZ. The name originated from the British word “damper” meaning something that quells the appetite. It is also sometimes called “bush bread”.
